Being pragmatic and business honed, Stephen holds clear views that the leadership and management of People should always keep pace with the needs of any business. It most certainly should not be a drag or a blocker.

Stephen has the opinion that HR management is a sector neutral capability and his multi sector and experience across a significant number of small to large corporate businesses demonstrates that this is more often than not true.
In overall terms his experience has straddled many sectors including automotive, transport, manufacturing, retail and marketing services and in recent years he has built a successful portfolio across many SME scale businesses, where growth ambition is a priority.
His sweet spots of interest, experience and capability primarily reflect organisational and cultural effectiveness, recruitment and employee relations. In this last regard he holds an LLM qualification in employment law. He is also a long standing Fellow of the CIPD.
Having held many Directorships over the years he is well versed at Boardroom level and understands the need to correctly blend and align strategic intent with effective operational delivery.
