Ally likes to figure out how people work – quite literally! It all started with a degree in Human Science (a pretty thorough investigation into the human condition all round). Once in the real world, being nosy about how businesses were run and how people were managed swiftly led her to establishing a new HR function for a thriving architect’s studio and embracing the world of human resources.
A Masters in HR Management in the LSE’s School of Leadership was the next step after which Bluefin Group soon snapped her up for their HR Consulting team. Here Ally cut her consulting teeth on strategic organisational advice and generalist HR services. She enjoyed success with a wide range of clients including City stockbrokers, high-end jewellers and pharmaceutical companies, working alongside their CEOs and senior managers.
One extended sabbatical in Australia later, Ally established her own consultancy, welcoming back some loyal clients and establishing People Puzzles as we know it today; focusing on delivering her own blend of business insight with the tried and tested practices that make commercial sense.
When not figuring out those people puzzles, Ally is an accomplished hockey player and keen motorbike rider. As in all things, she plays to win but with grace and good manners.
